Blog Post on the COVID vaccine in babies March 31, 2025

I am increasingly being asked by young new parents to give them some advice on whether or not to succumb to the public health pressure to vaccinate their babies with an mRNA COVID vaccine. I always try to be fair and balanced, but it is difficult to do so.
Physicians are attacked for being "anti-vaxxers" if we say "no, by all means! The COVID vaccine is NOT safe for babies"....but then we have to live with the knowledge of possibly harming a baby by saying, "yes by all means! The COVID vaccine is safe for babies". More importantly - the BABIES have to live with the consequences of our advice either way.
There is a HUGE PROBLEM with trust in the medical world. And this dissolution of trust has been the result of widespread and unmitigated corruption in Government and a removal of accountability from Pharmaceutical Companies.
So in regard to this particular issue: let's dive in to this very specific topic:
🩺 COVID Vaccines in Babies: Balancing Safety and Accountability in a Complex World
As parents, we all want what’s best for our children—especially when it comes to safeguarding their health. Routine childhood vaccinations have historically played a critical role in preventing deadly diseases like polio, measles, and whooping cough. But with the introduction of COVID-19 vaccines, particularly mRNA spike protein vaccines, many parents are finding themselves in uncharted territory. Should these vaccines be part of their baby’s immunization schedule?
🧠 A New Era of Vaccination—But at What Cost?
COVID-19 vaccines arrived with unprecedented speed, largely due to the use of mRNA technology. While this innovation was celebrated as a scientific triumph, it’s fair to ask whether this rapid rollout left enough time for long-term safety studies—especially when it comes to administering these vaccines to babies.
Unlike traditional vaccines, mRNA vaccines work by instructing the body to produce the spike protein found on the surface of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, triggering an immune response. But here’s the catch—this technology is still relatively new when applied to young, developing immune systems. Have we truly had enough time to study the long-term effects on infants?
🏢 Who’s Accountable? A Troubling Shift in Responsibility
Historically, pharmaceutical companies bore responsibility for the safety and efficacy of their products. However, in recent years, legal changes have granted immunity to vaccine manufacturers, shielding them from liability for any adverse effects. This shift raises serious concerns: If companies are no longer accountable for potential harm, where does that leave the families who put their trust in these vaccines?
It’s not an unfounded concern. In the past, manufacturers were held to stringent standards and were directly responsible for ensuring the safety of their vaccines. But today’s reality is starkly different. With immunity from liability, there’s less incentive to invest in long-term safety research or consider the consequences beyond the initial rollout.
📚 Medical Journals—Who’s Really in Control?
Another factor that complicates the landscape is the growing influence of pharmaceutical companies on medical journals. Once bastions of independent scientific inquiry, many leading journals are now funded or influenced by the very companies they’re supposed to scrutinize. As a result, dissenting research—particularly studies that raise concerns about the safety of certain vaccines—rarely sees the light of day.
It’s worth asking: How can we trust research when the institutions publishing it may have a vested interest in the outcome? When profit margins dictate what gets published, it’s increasingly difficult to separate genuine science from corporate influence.
🤝 Family Doctors: Your Best Ally in a Politicized Debate
Given the politicization of vaccine discourse, it’s become almost impossible to have a reasoned conversation without encountering polarized opinions. But amidst this noise, your family doctor remains your most reliable guide. Unlike pharmaceutical companies or policymakers, your doctor’s primary focus is your child’s health—not corporate profits or political agendas.
A thoughtful conversation with your doctor can help you navigate this complex terrain. Is the COVID-19 vaccine truly necessary for your baby? What are the risks versus the benefits? Does your child fall into a category where the vaccine might be less beneficial or potentially harmful? These are questions that deserve honest, nuanced answers—not sound bites or sweeping mandates.
🚸 Final Thoughts: A Decision Worth Pausing For
Vaccinating infants against COVID-19 using mRNA technology remains a highly complex and emotionally charged decision. While some may argue that adding these vaccines to a baby’s immunization schedule offers protection, others point out that the long-term safety of this approach is still unknown. As responsible parents, taking a moment to pause, ask questions, and seek informed guidance can make all the difference.
Ultimately, your child’s health is a decision best made between you and your family doctor—someone whose loyalty lies not with pharmaceutical companies but with the wellbeing of your child.
